About Jessica

Hi, I'm Jessica, a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Equine Gestalt Coach, and Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist (ART), and the founder of Starlit Healing. 

For over forty years, horses haven't just been a part of my life – they've shaped it. They've been my confidantes, my silent therapists, and my most profound teachers. Through their quiet wisdom and unwavering presence, I've learned lessons that go far beyond the grassy fields. They've shown me the power of connection, the resilience of spirit, and the true meaning of unconditional support. It's a journey that continues to inspire everything I do. 

My childhood wasn't always easy; the presence of horses was a constant source of comfort and understanding. They seemed to see right through me, offering a gentle, non-judgmental support that helped me find my own strength. That's why I'm so passionate about sharing the profoundly healing experience of equine connection – I've lived it, and I know its power. 

My passion is helping you find joy and healing by moving beyond the weight of your trauma and life concerns. As a Certified Equine Gestalt Method Coach, I combine my therapeutic expertise with the wisdom of my equine partners to create a powerful and unique experience through Starlit Healing.

Slingshot, a red roan quarter horse mare of the age 24. Sling, known for spunky personality in her younger years, has been by my side for the past 21 years. Sling is a gentle soul with a heart of gold, always ready with a soft nicker and a nuzzle for those who need comfort. Her calm and patient demeanor offers great compassion in providing individual’s space to safely process their feelings.
